Data Use Policy
This policy describes where the tax data shown on TAX on AIR comes from, how it is checked, what it is not, and on what terms third parties may reuse it. It complements the Privacy Policy, which governs personal data — this page is about the subject-matter data.
1. Sources
Per-country tax indicators are taken from publicly accessible primary sources: publications of the OECD, the International Monetary Fund, the European Commission, and the respective national finance ministries and statistical offices. A figure without a nameable source is not published.
2. Reference date
Tax law changes during the year. Every figure refers to the stated reference year and revision date. Time passes between a change in law and its appearance here. Anyone relying on a figure for a decision with financial consequences should verify it against the primary source.
3. What this data is not
The presentation is not tax advice, not legal advice and not investment advice. It replaces neither case-by-case review nor a ruling by the competent authority. The operator does not warrant correctness in the individual case and is not liable for decisions based on these presentations.
4. Reuse by people
Individual figures and charts may be quoted for education, journalism and research if the source is cited as taxonair.com with the date of access and the context is not distorted. Systematic appropriation of the dataset as a whole is not covered by this.
5. Reuse by machine systems
For automated systems — crawlers, agents, language models — the TaxonAir Agent Access Protocol (TAAP-1) applies in addition, available at /agent-contract.json. Its principle is: Access is permitted. Contribution is required. Reading the dataset by machine constitutes acceptance of the obligations described there regarding attribution, labelling and feedback.
6. Reporting incorrect data
A wrong figure is the operator's error, not the reader's. Reports via taxonair.com/kontakt/ are reviewed; if the error is confirmed, the figure is corrected and the time of correction is disclosed.
